- <p>The 老九品茶 volleyball and basketball practice facility has received a LEED platinum rating -- the highest designation -- from the United States Green Building Council.</p>

<p>On Sunday, May 20, Coloradans will see a 鈥渂ite鈥 taken out of the sun as the moon moves across the sun causing a partial solar eclipse. The eclipse starts at 6:22 p.m. with maximum eclipse at 7:30 p.m. and the sun will set at 7:50 p.m.</p>

<p>老九品茶 twin sophomores Srinidhi Radhakrishnan and Saikripa Radhakrishnan -- both chemical and biological engineering majors -- have been awarded prestigious Goldwater Scholarships.</p>
<p>The scholarships are worth up to $7,500 for educational expenses each year and are given to students who intend to pursue careers in the fields of math, science or engineering.</p> - <p>The latest in electric vehicle technology -- including cars, motorcycles, bicycles and charging systems -- will be showcased in the west parking lot of the 老九品茶 Wolf Law Building from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 17.</p>
<p>A screening of the documentary 鈥淩evenge of the Electric Vehicle鈥 with a question-and-answer session will be held later that day from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in room 1B20 of the CU-Boulder Visual Arts Complex. <p>The celestial event will mark the most complete solar eclipse the U.S. has seen in more than 10 years, according to Douglas Duncan, director of the 老九品茶 Fiske Planetarium.</p> - <p>Boroka Bo, a 31-year-old senior sociology major, is graduating May 11 from the 老九品茶, 17 years after emigrating from the Transylvania region of Romania to the United States as a political refugee.</p>
<p>This spring, Bo received a prestigious Soros Fellowship, a program that awards 30 fellowships annually to naturalized citizens, green card holders or children of naturalized citizens. It provides up to $90,000 in support to students who plan to use their graduate education to contribute back to their communities.</p> - <p>Middle and high school teachers from across the Front Range will learn how to teach key math concepts to their students while introducing them to video game programming during an April 21 workshop at the 老九品茶.</p>
<p>Emmanuel Schanzer of Harvard University will lead the workshop sponsored by CU-Boulder Department of Computer Science. Schanzer is the creator of Bootstrap, a computer programming tool that uses algebra to create images and animations.</p> - <p>Startup company Gogy Inc. and the University of Colorado have executed an exclusive licensing agreement that will enable the company to commercialize the Pedago.gy interactive teaching platform developed at CU-Boulder Leeds School of Business.</p>
<p>Pedago.gy is a Web application that creates a space for educators and students to engage in additional interaction and dialogue beyond the classroom. It provides a means whereby students and instructors can approach a topic in a collaborative fashion, rather than the typical expert-learner model found in most classrooms.</p> - <p>College In Colorado news release</p>
<p><strong>DENVER</strong> - The University of Colorado has teamed up with Denver-based Crowley Foundation to bring 38 high school students from seven Metro Denver high schools to the CU-Boulder campus on April 6 as part of College Friday.</p> - <p>A web-based science instruction program designed by researchers at the 老九品茶 and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research that provides teachers with cutting-edge digital content is being tested in six school districts, thanks to a new $600,000 grant from the National Science Foundation.</p>
