Fall 2025听General Theatre Auditions
The Department of Theatre and Dance will be holding in-person auditions for the Spring 2026听season on Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th 2026听in the Roe Green Theatre. Any CU student currently enrolled in the Spring 2026 semester is eligible to audition.

THE STORY:听
After civilization collapses, a group of survivors share a campfire and begin to piece together the plot of The Simpsons episode 鈥淐ape Feare鈥 entirely from memory. Seven years later, this and other snippets of pop culture have become the live entertainment of a post-apocalyptic society trying to hold onto its past. Seventy-five years later, these are the myths and legends from which new forms of performance are created. Anne Washburn imaginative, darkly comedic play with music propels us forward nearly a century, following a new civilization stumbling into its future.

The Story:
Four eccentric Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it time to put a spotlight on the issue鈥攁nd themselves. The town parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow鈥攂ut when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. 鈥淭he Prom鈥 expertly captures all the humor and heart of a classic musical comedy with a message that resonates with audiences now more than ever.
