Rural and Small Town Staff and Faculty

Staff, faculty and even graduate students from across the university may claim a small town as home. To facilitate the sharing of stories, experiences, and perspectives amongst ÀÏ¾ÅÆ·²è rural and small town professionals, the ÀÏ¾ÅÆ·²è Rural Network oversees a Rural Staff/Faculty Affinity Group. This group serves to foster community among individuals with similar backgrounds as well as advocate for recognition of ‘rurality’ as a unique part of an individual identity.

Additional support for ÀÏ¾ÅÆ·²è staff and faculty is provided by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), including individual counseling appointments.

Past or current CU employees may qualify for – a program that rewards college graduates who work in the public sector. CU is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit qualifying employer.
The Community Perspectives Program engages a small cohort of ÀÏ¾ÅÆ·²è faculty in a one-year professional development opportunity aimed at connecting their teaching, research, and creative work to outreach and engagement initiatives with rural Colorado communities.
