Ch. 14 Sponsored Research Administration
Purpose: To serve as a resource for those whose work involves post-award responsibilities within the area of sponsored research administration.
Sponsored research agreements are legally and mutually binding agreements between the sponsoring agency and the Regents of the University of Colorado. Failure to comply with the required regulations and guidelines may jeopardize ÀϾÅÆ·²è ability to qualify for future funding, require the refund of monies awarded, create audit disallowances, and/or result in fines or penalties. Consequently, the information contained in this chapter is designed to facilitate a culture of compliance. The responsibility for compliance begins before the award is made, continues throughout the duration of the award, and does not end until the award is completed and the record retention period has passed.
