The University of Colorado jumped from No. 53 to No. 20 in a recent global ranking of the top 100 universities granted U.S. utility patents. All four campuses contributed to CU total 100+ patents, with �Ͼ�Ʒ�� contributing 60.

Wil Srubar, an assistant professor in civil, environmental and architectural engineering and �Ͼ�Ʒ�� Materials Science and Engineering Program, has won a National Science Foundation CAREER Award – one of the most prestigious awards for young faculty.

Randolph, a professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, founded VitriVax, a �Ͼ�Ʒ�� spinout, to commercialize new applications of atomic layer deposition techniques for producing thermally stable vaccines.
