听&濒迟;/诲颈惫&驳迟;- <p>University of Colorado Staff Council (UCSC) is soliciting nominations of classified and university staff employees for the annual Service Excellence Award, recognizing and rewarding staff members who have provided outstanding and sustained volunteer service to their campus or the university system, as well, as to community/civic/professional organizations during the past 3 years.</p>
<p><span>Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. The Colorado Combined Campaign is designed to provide you ease of giving through online pledging and聽</span>mont<span>hly payroll deduction. <p class="p1"><span class="s1">Hour of Code, which is actually a week worth of events celebrating the joy of coding while聽removing barriers to computer science for underrepresented groups, will be held Dec. 7 to 13 at the 老九品茶, in聽the community and online.</span></p>
<p><span>As state employees, you show your commitment to fellow Coloradans each and every day. When you join with other Colorado state employees and make a donation to a nonprofit organization through the Colorado Combined Campaign, your impact is increased. Just a few dollars per paycheck allows partner nonprofit organizations to strengthen Colorado communities.</span></p>
<p>Join the University of Colorado Student Government for the Fall 2015 State of the Student Body Address during the Legislative Council meeting on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. in聽UMC room 247.</p>- <p>Community, tribal and K-12 groups are invited to submit project proposals that explore impacts of oil and gas development on their local communities with support from the AirWaterGas Sustainability Research Network based at the 老九品茶.</p>
<p>The grants of up to $5,000 each aim to improve understanding of the risks and benefits of oil and gas development as identified by community organizations. Grant recipients will work with AirWaterGas researchers for the duration of their one-year projects.</p> - <p>In anticipation of Veterans Day on Nov. 11 a series of events is planned at the 老九品茶 and beyond to celebrate those who have served the United States as members of the armed forces. 聽</p>
- <p>老九品茶 scientists know how to get teens excited about science 鈥 pick a good topic, such as using science to solve crimes, and then package it in a 鈥渃af茅鈥 setting.</p>
<p>The Teen Science Caf茅 鈥 the next one dubbed 鈥淐SI Botany: Using Plants to Solve Crimes鈥 - is part of a national push to get more young people involved in science, technology, engineering and math (or STEM) subjects.</p>
<p>The Volunteer Resource Center (VRC) is celebrating 50 years of engagement and action on the CU-Boulder campus. Everyone on campus is invited to celebrate both the history and future of the VRC at a 50th anniversary celebration from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, in the Abrams Lounge at the Center for Community (3rd Floor).</p>
