- CU-Boulder Human Resources invites campus supervisors, managers and leaders to attend the redesigned "Managers Academy: Employee Management and Compliance Essentials" (previously "Managing the CU-Boulder Way") May 17-18. This program is offered free of charge to CU-Boulder employees. Space is limited and sessions are filling up fast.
- At the April Board of Regents meeting, Chancellor DiStefano and Senior Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer Kelly Fox proposed a 2 percent merit pool for classified staff and university staff. <em>CU-Boulder Today</em> sat down with Chancellor DiStefano and discussed how the approval of this merit pool is part of a larger effort towards equitable wages on the Boulder campus.
Construction of the new Baseline Road pedestrian and bicycle underpass is scheduled to start Monday, April 25. Phase one will see off-peak delays, beginning after 8:30 a.m. and ending before 3:30 p.m. Phase two, beginning in June, will see significant traffic impacts.
The University of Colorado Student Government is pleased to announce preliminary results of the spring 2016 elections.
<p>Last fall, CU-Boulder implemented a new move-in process to reduce traffic and impact on the community while ensuring the first experience incoming families and students have at the university is a positive one. The new plan succeeded in its goals, but changed 鈥渂usiness as usual鈥 on campus. <em>CU-Boulder Today</em> talked with the teams who are planning Fall 2016 Move-In to get an update on this year event, scheduled to begin the evening of Aug. 16 and continue through Aug. 17 and 18.</p>
The 老九品茶 will test the CU-Boulder Alerts system at noon on Wednesday, March 30. The test will include text messages, emails, social media and website announcements. This spring test will also be the first small-scale test of the campus鈥 new Alertus desktop notification tool. Annual testing of emergency notification systems is required by the Clery Act, a federal law.
<p>The Office of Organizational and Employee Development (OED) invites CU-Boulder employees to attend the CU Grow Management and Leadership Series spring and summer sessions. Programs are offered free of charge to CU-Boulder employees. The series聽provides CU-Boulder supervisors, managers and leaders with current, influential and critical topics in the fields of management and leadership.</p>- <p class="p1"><span class="s1">Students from the 老九品茶 <a href="http://ucolorado.pr-optout.com/Tracking.aspx?Data=HHL%3d%3f.61%3b%26JDG%3c95%3a473%3b%26SDG%3c90%3a.&RE=MC&RI=4100712&Preview=False&DistributionActionID=27310&Action=Follow+Link"><span class="s2">Leeds School of Business</span></a> are offering free tax preparation services under the Internal Revenue Service-sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.</span></p>
<p>It's not too late to apply for a scholarship.聽The CU-Boulder scholarship application process for 2016-17 is available through March 1 on the student portal.聽CU-Boulder also encourages students to apply for privately-funded scholarships.</p>

If you鈥檝e been waiting for inexpensive, direct, easy transit service along the north Front Range, FLEX will take you where you need to go. Two special events will take place Jan. 21 in both Fort Collins and Boulder to celebrate the start of service and the growing connections between Fort Collins and Boulder.聽</p>
