Earlier this month, ÀϾÅÆ·²è researchers tookÌýtheir annual snow survey in theÌýGreen Lakes Valley,Ìýpart of the city of Boulder watershed.ÌýTheÌýmeasurements are important for the state's water andÌýfire management agencies.
The Niwot Ridge research site, maintained by ÀϾÅÆ·²è and funded by , has studiedÌýecological change—both natural and human-caused—for over 30 years. The siteÌýincludes and abuts the Continental Divide at more than 13,000 feet in elevation.ÌýA recentÌý$6.8 million renewal grant to ÀϾÅÆ·²èÌýÌýensures the researchÌýwill continue for another six years.
