Congratulations to Izzy Fincher鈥攖he College of Music Outstanding Graduating Senior this spring鈥攚ho will graduate with a BM in classical guitar performance, a BA in journalism, a business minor with a Music Entrepreneurship Certificate and a Music Theory Certificate, exemplifying the College of Music universal musician mission.
Erika Gossett will graduate next month with a BM in flute performance, as well as a BA in media studies, a minor in business and a Music Entrepreneurship Certificate, exemplifying the College of Music universal musician vision. Additionally, her climate change-focused venture, Pi帽a Designs, is a finalist in the New Venture Challenge. Finals are April 12: Join us!

To support our students鈥 and our community musical development, the College of Music offers summer session courses and richly varied summer programming.
The newly expanded Imig Music Building strengthens the college Musicians鈥 Wellness Program by better supporting students in navigating the often complex and multifaceted path of being a musician.
鈥淲e have a strong foundation for DEI work and we鈥檙e seeing progress [...] but there more work鈥攎ore positive disruption鈥攁head of us before we can claim ubiquitous inclusivity in our college culture, classrooms and curricula.鈥

Among 30 distinguished academics, clinicians, consultants and authors, Jeffrey Nytch鈥攄irector of the College of Music Entrepreneurship Center for Music and associate professor of composition鈥攈as joined the Yamaha Master Educator Collective newly-launched Music Business and Entrepreneurship group.
