<p>This summer, Eklund Opera trailblazing new works program—CU New Opera Workshop, or CU NOW—pulls out all the proverbial stops in its latest quest to bring what fresh and exciting about opera to the campus of �Ͼ�Ʒ��.</p>

At this year commencement ceremony, in addition to honoring the graduates who will become Forever Buffs, the College of Music will call out the varied legacies of three members of our extended community.

After a sold-out concert with pop-folk duo the Indigo Girls in Spring 2016, this spring the College of Music premier ensemble again booked a gig with the Girls—this time to record a live album.

Nadya Hill is a vocalist. A violinist. A visual artist. A full-stack Javascript web developer. But on Friday night and Sunday afternoon, as she performs in Eklund Opera season-ending “Red Hot and Cole,” she’ll just be Linda Porter.

For two days in March 2017, flutists young and old converged on �Ͼ�Ʒ�� for the Once a Flutist Festival. Including master classes with Sir James and Lady Jeanne Galway, panels and recitals, the event was a reminder that if you’re once a flutist… you’re always a flutist.

On Tuesday, May 2, the CU Symphony Orchestra and choirs bring Mozart masterpiece, the Requiem in D minor, to the Macky Auditorium stage, capping off a banner year for the College of Music with a performance of one of music monumental masterworks.

As the Boulder community benefits from the Artist Series' concerts, students at the College of Music enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime experience of seeing, learning from—even talking shop with—their idols.
