, professor and department chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington, will be joining our department for the ME Distinguished Seminar Series. The events, open to all faculty, staff and students, feature scholars from a wide range of peer institutions across the country and some of the world's most prominent experts in mechanical engineering.

Aliseda's research and teaching focuses on fluid mechanics with applications to energy, environmental and biomedical flows. In particular, he is interested in the dynamics of multiphase flows, such as bubbles in water and droplets in air.
