The Newton Fellowship Program is seeking students who demonstrate leadership of character—acting with courage, integrity, and humility. Ideal candidates are changemakers, creative thinkers, and community builders who show initiative, embrace a growth mindset, and inspire those around them. This program develops students with exceptional potential, not just extensive accomplishments.
Affiliate programs may nominate as many individuals as they like. Please note: nominees must not be current seniors, as the program runs from fall 2026 to spring 2027.
Time Commitment:
- Approximately 5-10 hours per semester for training and events.
- 10 hours of one-on-one dedicated coaching in the fall semester.
- Attendance is required at an overnight orientation the second weekend of the school year.
- Participation in the Changemaker's Challenge, a weekend-long social innovation activity in February.
