Drop‑In Open Computer Labs Support Open Enrollment and PERA (April 20-24) Nancy Portner Wed, 04/15/2026 - 12:24

BFI‑ROCC is sponsoring a series of open computer labs next week to support staff with Open Enrollment and with creating or accessing a PERA retirement account (https://copera.org/). These sessions are open to all staff, and no appointment is needed.

Staff can drop in for help with:

Logging into MyCUInfo
Completing Open Enrollment changes
Creating a PERA login/profile
Navigating the PERA website
Connecting with OIT or Employee Services for support

Please bring the following items with you so we can help you: IdentiKey, IdentiKey password, employee ID number. If you do not have these items, we can still help and it would be helpful if you had them in advance.

Monday, April 20: Stadium Room 1B12E • 9:00–10:00 a.m. • 10:00–11:00 a.m. • 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Tuesday, April 21: Stadium Room 1B12E • 9:00–10:00 a.m. • 10:00–11:00 a.m. • 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Thursday, April 23: Stadium Room 1B12E • 3:00–4:00 p.m. • 4:00–5:00 p.m.

Friday, April 24: RL2 Computer Lab, Room 167 • 2:00–3:00 p.m. • 3:00–4:00 p.m.

These labs are a great opportunity for staff to get hands‑on support in logging on to the computer to take care of Open Enrollment benefits enrollment and getting set up on the PERA website for the first time.

Take Your Kids to Work Day is a fun way to share what you do at CU! Participation should be coordinated with your supervisor, since not all roles, activities, or campus environments are appropriate for children.

We’re looking for a few staff members to help support staff during upcoming Open Enrollment (OE) sessions.

Volunteers are needed for OE computer lab sessions in Stadium IB12E (conference room near Access Services and the FM Safety office), April 20–24. Volunteers will help staff log into MyCUInfo, navigate Open Enrollment, and, when needed, connect with OIT or Employee Services for IdentiKey resets and troubleshooting. No technical skills are required, just a willingness to help folks on the computer.

You can sign up for one or more sessions by adding your name to the volunteer sign‑up form. Any amount of help is greatly appreciated, and your support makes a big difference for our colleagues.

University Staff: CU allows full-time staff to keep a maximum of 44 days (or 352 hours) of vacation within a fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). If you meet this maximum, you must either take or schedule vacation before June 30, or you will lose it.

Classified Staff: Maximum accruals for Cassified staff members in regular appointments are based on months of service. See the Classified Staff Leave Policies chart for full details.

All staff should double check your leave balances now, and make plans to use any hours of vacation time over the maximum allowable accrual time before the July 1 leave sweep deadline. As always, vacation leave requests are subject to the approval of your supervisor; don’t wait until June to put in your leave requests. If you have any questions regarding vacation leave, please contact your supervisor.

Construction activities will have partial traffic impacts beginning on Folsom Street near Colorado Avenue related to the university's chilled water line project. These will take effect during commencement and related activities May 1–3. Facilities Management is coordinating closely with event organizers to minimize impact.

Traffic will be reduced to a single shared lane on Folsom Street with turn lanes temporarily combined. Equipment staging may be present but clear signage and traffic control will help guide attendees and participants. Any temporary changes to parking or access will be communicated well in advance.

April 20, 2026: Partial traffic impacts begin on Folsom Street near Colorado Avenue and will continue through July 15, 2026. Traffic will be reduced to a single shared lane in the work zone, with turn lanes temporarily combined. Two-way traffic will be maintained.

We are especially thrilled to welcome CU alum and Accredited Financial Counselor, Holly Morphew, on Wednesday, April 8 to deliver our keynote session, “Wealth is for Everyone: Reclaiming Financial Power in Today's Economy."
