Instead, your device will show the new</span><a href="https://oit.colorado.edu/services/network-internet-services/wireless-internet/cu-secure" rel="nofollow"><span>&nbsp;CU Secure</span></a><span> and</span><a href="https://oit.colorado.edu/services/network-internet-services/wireless-internet/cu-guest" rel="nofollow"><span>&nbsp;CU Guest</span></a><span> networks.</span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>The UCB Wireless and UCB Guest networks will remain available in the rest of the campus buildings through late December, when they'll be fully retired and replaced by CU Secure and CU Guest. Wired networks and eduroam won’t be affected by any of these changes.</span></p><p dir="ltr"><span><strong>Prepare Your Devices</strong></span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>If you normally connect a personal laptop, smartphone or tablet to UCB Wireless or UCB Guest, you'll need to&nbsp;</span><a href="https://cloud.securew2.com/public/41406/CU_Secure/" rel="nofollow"><span>install the CU Secure certificate/app</span></a><span> (short link:</span><a href="https://buff.link/downloadwifi" rel="nofollow"><span>&nbsp;buff.link/downloadwifi</span></a><span>) to connect to CU Secure.&nbsp;You should download the certificate now on your personal devices, such as your smartphone.&nbsp;</span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>Once installed, the certificate/app will allow your device to connect to CU Secure Wi-Fi for&nbsp;two years, after which you will be prompted to re-register.</span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>If your computer was purchased through the university,</span><a href="https://oit.colorado.edu/software-hardware/secure-computing/self-service" rel="nofollow"><span>&nbsp;check to see if it's enrolled in Secure Computing</span></a><span>. While not everyone in the department uses Meridian directly, it plays a vital role behind the scenes — supporting construction projects and compliance efforts across campus.</p><p>This upcoming system upgrade will make Meridian easier to access and more efficient for those who rely on it daily. Even if you don’t use Meridian yourself, this deployment helps ensure our PDC team has the tools they need to keep their projects running smoothly.</p><p><span>What to Expect:</span></p><ul><li><span><strong>System Access: </strong>Meridian will be temporarily unavailable during the deployment window. Specific details regarding timing of deployment and preparation needed by those who use the system will be sent out directly to those users early next week.</span></li><li><span><strong>New Features: </strong>Post-deployment, users will see enhancements in the PowerWeb interface. Meridian Explorer will remain the same.
