Research: I'm interested in studying how changes in air pollutant emissions impact global health burdens. I use a process called adjoint modeling that calculates the sensitivity of these global health burdens associated with pollutant exposure to human-caused emissions. These sensitivities allow me to quantify the health benefits we get from a decrease in emissions from, for example, an air pollution control policy.
