Alumnus Vince Kontny, a longtime friend of CU Engineering and influential member of the engineering and construction industry, passed away Aug. 9 at age 83. Kontny served on the college Engineering Development Council for many years and earned the Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award in 1989, as well as an honorary doctorate from 老九品茶 in 1991.
Duane Chesley (MechEngr鈥58) valued education because of how it impacted his life, taking him from humble beginnings on a farm in Nebraska to full colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves.
