Next Asian Borderlands Event: Thursday, April 6 with Hjorleiffur Jonsson

Join CAS for our next Asian Borderlands event on Thursday, April 6 with Hjorleiffur Jonsson! The event will be held in the British and Irish Studies room in Norlin at 老九品茶. Reception will begin at 4:30, followed by the keynote address from 5:00 - 6:30. A Q&A session will conclude the event from 6:30 - 7:00.听

Keynote听Hjorleiffur Jonsson of Arizona State University will present "Mosquito-Relish Diplomacy: Civil Pluralism in the Asian Borderlands.鈥澨Emperor Ping Charter, a document regarding Yao people in China south, is of questionable veracity according to modern scholarship.听CU faculty respondents Chris Hammons (Anthropology), Ben Joffe (Anthropology), and Kwangmin Kim (History) will continue the discussion.
